Spierontspanner and fillers are both cosmetic treatments, but they work differently. Spierontspanner is used to temporarily relax muscles, reducing wrinkles such as frown lines and crow’s feet. Fillers, on the other hand, add volume to areas such as lips, cheeks or nasolabial folds (the lines from your nose to your mouth). They often consist of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in your body.
The treatments are generally doable. Spierontspanner uses a very thin needle called the invisible needle. Our fillers contain anesthetic, making the treatment virtually pain-free. Many patients describe the sensation as a small prick. After treatment, there may be slight swelling or redness, but this usually disappears within a day.
With Spierontspanner, the first effects are often visible within 3 to 5 days, with full results after about 2 weeks. Fillers give immediate results, although sometimes there may be slight swelling at first that quickly subsides. The optimal result of fillers is visible after 3 weeks.
Spierontspanner results last an average of 3 to 4 months, depending on your age, lifestyle and muscle activity. We use only A-brand fillers that last 12 to 18 months, depending on the type of filler and the area treated. Regular maintenance treatments can help prolong results.

You can return to your daily activities immediately after treatment. However, we recommend avoiding intense sports activities for the first 24 hours. With a Spierontspanner treatment we also recommend avoiding intense heat such as sauna or tanning bed for 24 hours and with a filler for 2 weeks.
Mild side effects such as redness, swelling or mild bruising may occur, but they usually disappear within a few days. Serious side effects are rare, especially when the treatment is performed by an experienced specialist.
